Annual Social Gathering – Plymouth Sept 2010

Due to popular demand this year’s annual social gathering will again be held in Plymouth on Saturday 11th September, 2010 at the Astor Hotel.

The day is a fun filled social occasion but more importantly gives Alphas the opportunity to meet fellow Alphas to share their experiences and information.

Unlimited tea and coffee will be available from around mid-day with an extensive buffet followed later in the afternoon with a Devon cream tea all for £12.00 per head.

To raise much needed funds we will again be holding a raffle and auction with prizes donated by members and organisations.

Christmas cards will also be on sale together with your unwanted paperbacks, DVD’s and CD’s.

Last year we formed our very own group “The Alphatones” who are expected to make a repeat performance.

In the evening a 3 course meal has been arranged which is optional and will be subsidised by the group for just £15.00 per head.

Accommodation is available at very reasonable rates negotiated by our Secretary John Doyle which also include an extensive buffet style breakfast.

The Astor Hotel is Disabled friendly with a lift to all floors. Oxygen use is allowed, either portable or liquid, you just need to arrange delivery with your supplier. Parking outside is free to Blue Badge holders (subject to available spaces) non badge holders can purchase an all day parking ticket at the Hotel reception for £3.00  per day. If you wish to bring a laptop Wi-fi connection is available for free.

Anyone wishing to extend their stay please contact John Doyle. If you intend arriving on Friday 10th Sept an evening 3 course meal will be available at a special rate of £15.00 (normally £25.00).

If you wish to come along for the day only the cost will be £12.00 per head. Extended stay requiring accommodation will require a £10.00 deposit to secure your room, this would be refundable should you be unable for any reason not to come, provided you give at least 24 hours notice.

If you are interested in attending this very popular annual event please contact John Doyle (Secretary) jedoyle@blueyonder.co.uk

We look forward to seeing you.
